Quotes about Happiness

Well, it has been more than a year since I last posted anything :P

The reason I'm here again, is because I have something I'm sharing with anyone who chanced upon this little blog of mine.

Recently, I participated in a swap about sharing 10 positive quotes. These quotes are supposed to be printed out and put into a jar, so that when we need a little uplifting in life, we randomly pull one out and be reminded of what happiness is. They are meant to be strips of paper, but I just couldn't resist designing the quotes I'm sharing to look like journal cards, using one of my favourite colour combinations. I've since printed them out for my pocket scrapbooking. The small ones are 3" x 4" and the big ones are 4" by 6" if printed out actual size.

So today I thought of sharing these little reminders of happiness online, and I remembered this little blog of mine! If you have downloaded them (mediafire's link to the PDF), please do leave a comment so that I know they might be useful for someone too. Thanks!

With all my Heart...

Hello~
I haven't blogged a single thing since my last blog on ScrapDish's Jan Bits & Bytes, so now here I am~
As you have guessed it, it's my plug for my SD's Feb Bits & Bytes, for which I contributed these 2 packs for sales:

While I was busy with making Feb's B&B, and preparing for the Chinese New Year festivities at the same time (1st day of the CNY was 3 Feb this year), I was designing another kit, full of hearts, planning for it to debut together with the Feb B&B... but of course it didn't.

I had to be put it aside because I couldn't handle so many things at once, and on top of that, the kids needed help with their assignments to be completed before the CNY holidays! So in the end, this kit was only packaged and put in the store right on Valentines' Day itself. I'd like to think that I made it just in time ;)
However... knowing me, I am only blogging about it today lol!

This kit was supposed to be for Valentine's Day, but really, I think it is good for any other events too. For me, I love adding hearts to my layouts because 1) heart shape is my girls' and my favourite shape (after circles), and 2) I'd be making layouts of someone or something I love, so hearts aren't too out of place! So one can never have too many heart-shaped embellishments and heart-patterned papers ;)

OK now, thanks for reading until here:) I'm giving away the add-on to my new kit for a limited time only (end of Feb '11). Download Expired
Please click on the preview or this LINK to go and download from Box dot net.
Happy Scrapping! ~♥

Happy New Year 2011!

Here's wishing everyone a healthy, prosperous & good year in 2011!
The above wordart is in png format, so if you'd like to download it for your personal use and layout, just right click on it and save as :)

BTW, check out ScrapDish's Bits & Bytes, debuted this month. It's like choosing your own grabbag, from all the products by the different designers using the same colours and theme. The scrappers get to pick and choose from many paper and embellishment packs, whatever catches their eyes, or what they think they could use!
This is a great way for me to start my designing for the year, to design what I feel towards the colours and theme and contributing within my limits. Please take a look at my products if you have time :)

Refugee Awareness Blog Train

"Refugee Week is about raising people's awareness of who a refugee is, about breaking the prejudice barrier and removing the negative image that refugees have."

For this blog train organised by Angela , she has not designated the colour combination because as she explained, the refugees come from very different backgrounds, so we can be as diverse in our designs as possible. After thinking about what colours to use for the longest time, I picked my colours from the Refugee Week logo.

In my search for some inspiration for my contribution both on the refugee week site and the www, I came across this quote by Maya Angelou, which I thought goes well with the theme for this blog train.
"The ache for home lives in all of us,
the safe place where we can go as we are, and not be questioned"

I have included this quote in my contribution to the blog train. Please click on the preview below to download from 4shared, and take some time to check out the Refugee Week website to learn more. The list of the blog train is here:
